CONTENT

My weight, your weight, the others' weight

Transferred, shared, propelled, withheld weight

Weight perception is a phenomenon our sensory motor system translates with great clarity though some reflexes and patterns may bring some uneasiness.

Through an adapted pedagogy based on Release Technique, Contact Improvisation and experiential anatomy, we will collect and combine danceable tools for unlocking our joints and freeing the spine thanks to gravitational forces shiftings. 

Meditational exercises and stillness will allow the smallest sensations to come to the mind. 

Dynamic movements of "letting go" and "fall-recovery" will be put together in spicy sequences we will master all along the 4 dates. 

Through instant composition, we will improvise and notice our personal interests for engaging more gravitational parameters as conscious aesthetics. From the individual creative work, we will go to the collective level, musing from minimalist/maximalist scores and engaging specific relationships with the music and the room.

Each workshop ends with dance offerings (solo, duet, or more)  to the collective.

PRACTICAL INFOS

PARTICIPANTS : The workshop is designed for persons having an experience of inner listening, somatic practices, partnering (including physical contact) and have already appreciated rolling and falling in their own discipline (dance, circus, martial art, etc.).

CLOTHES : Long sleeves shirts and comfortable pants for rolling and sliding on the floor. No lycra leggings, shorts, skirts.

AFTERNOON JAM! : Kosmostudio hosts a C.I. Jam from 2:30 to 5:30 in the same studio.
